Holy Apostles Respect Life is dedicated to building a culture that cherishes every human life, from conception to natural death. Through education and community support, we protect unborn babies, prevent human trafficking, and oppose the death penalty, euthanasia, and assisted suicide.


Meetings are on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30pm in Room 108.

Mother’s Day Novena

Day 1: For spiritual mothers, godmothers, and mother-figures
Hail Mary…

O Mary, Mother of us all, we entrust to your care every spiritual mother, godmother, and mother-figure. Enfold them in your protective mantle and grant them your peace. May they find in you the ultimate model of maternal love. Strengthen their faith, sustain their hope, and deepen their tenderness.
We thank you for the hidden graces they obtain for us through their devotion. Grant us the wisdom to cherish these gifts, that we may never cast them aside. May these graces prepare our hearts to stand before your Son, clothed in the radiance of the Spirit, at His Eternal Wedding Banquet. Amen.

Day 2: For adoptive and foster mothers, and those who have placed a child for adoption
Hail Mary…

Holy Mother Mary, bless all adoptive and foster mothers. They have honored the gift of life by opening their hearts and homes to a child; guide them now in their sacred journey of motherhood. 
We also pray for birth mothers, whose sacrificial love allowed their child to find a home through adoption. As we are all children of God by grace and adoption, may these families always abide in His peace. Through Christ our Lord. Amen

Day 3: For widowed and single mothers
Hail Mary…

Mother Mary, please comfort all women raising children alone. Through your intercession, may they be strengthened in love and supported in every need. For those who feel grieved, lonely, or abandoned: wrap them in your loving embrace and remind them of God’s constant presence. Amen.

Day 4: For mothers whose children have strayed from the faith
Hail Mary…

Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Compassion, We turn to you with filial confidence. Soften the hearts of children who have wandered from the path of faith. Through the merits of the Precious Blood of your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, restore them to the life of grace and the beauty of the Sacraments.

Loving Mother of the Redeemer, you shared fully in the work of Christ, whose death brought life to the world. Help us to trust in the depth of Divine Mercy. Teach mothers whose children have strayed from the faith to embrace their sorrows with your own quiet strength and holy obedience. Amen.

Day 5: For hopeful mothers experiencing infertility
Hail Mary…

Mother of Hope, you know the deep ache of a heart longing for a child. We ask you to comfort those walking the difficult path of infertility. 

Our Lady of La Leche, you who cradled the Christ Child, intercede for these women that they may receive the gift of life according to divine will. Grant them the strength to conceive, the wisdom to nurture, and the grace to mirror your own devotion and sacrifice. Amen.

Day 6: For mothers who have lost a child
Hail Mary…

Most Blessed Mary, Virgin and Mother; you understand the pain of losing a child. You experienced that terror when Christ was left alone at the temple. You experienced anguish beyond what we can know when the “sword [pierced] your own soul as well.” Pray for mothers who have lost their beloved child, that through your intercessions, they may share in the joy you experienced at the resurrection. Intercede on their behalf so that Christ, by whose resurrection we are reconciled to God, might console them and give them a founded hope for the promised resurrection to come. Amen.

Day 7: For expectant mothers
Hail Mary…

Blessed Mother Mary, who carried Jesus with love and faith, we lift up all pregnant women into your maternal care. Cover them with your mantle of protection. Grant them strength in their bodies, peace in their hearts, and joy in their spirits as they carry the gift of life. Bless their babies in the womb – let them grow in health, wrapped in God’s light and peace.

Mother Mary, you understand the gravity of an unexpected pregnancy and the burden of being misunderstood. For mothers in unplanned or crisis pregnancies, we ask that you dispel their fears, comfort their sorrows, and grant them the courage to embrace the new life within them, which is a precious gift from God.

Mary, Mother of all mothers, stand by expectant mothers during every moment of this journey, and be their comfort in times of weakness. May they experience a safe and joyful delivery through your powerful intercession with our Lord Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Day 8: For deceased mothers
Hail Mary…

Mother Mary, God has commanded us to honor our mothers. We ask you now to intercede for those mothers who have passed from this life. May the Lord God look upon them with compassion and show mercy to their souls, forgiving their sins and granting them the joy of eternal brightness.

O Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and Refuge of Sinners, pray for these souls that they may be delivered from all suffering and brought into the peace of Paradise. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Day 9: For all Mothers
Hail Mary…
Mary, on this day when we honor all mothers, we turn to you. We thank the Lord whom you serve for the great gift of motherhood. Never has it been known that anyone who sought your intercession was left unaided by grace. Dear Mother, thank you for your “Yes” to the invitation of the angel which brought heaven to earth and changed human history. You opened yourself to God’s word and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. 

Dear Mother, intercede for all of our mothers. Ask your Divine Son to give them the grace of surrendered love so that they can join with you in giving their own “Fiat.” May they find daily strength to say yes to the call to sacrificial love – the very heart of the vocation of motherhood. May their love and witness be a source of great inspiration for all of us called to follow your Son.
On this Mother’s Day, Mother of the Word Incarnate, pray for us who have recourse to you.

Story Link Idaho

Story Link Idaho is a program dedicated to keeping the bond strong between children and their incarcerated parents or grandparents through the power of reading. Volunteers visit prisons where inmates record themselves reading children’s books, which they then sign with a personal message of love. Both the recording and the signed book are sent to the child, fostering a connection despite physical separation.

One weekend each May, the Respect Life ministry holds a drop-off baby shower to help support local pregnancy centers.
