Becoming Catholic

Are you wondering if God is calling you to be Catholic?

The Catholic Church takes becoming Catholic seriously. If you feel that God is directing you to the Roman Catholic Church, let's sit down and chat about it. The process for becoming Catholic is a spiritual journey of discernment. Classes are offered to teach you a little about everything Catholic, and to help you to build a relationship with our Lord.

What is available at Holy Apostles?

  • Adult classes — 18 years and older: year-round Thursday evening classes.
  • Family classes — children ages 7–15 and their parents: Sunday classes 10am–1pm (includes 11am Mass and a snack) from September–May.

What will I learn?

The weekly sessions cover a broad range of topics to facilitate a "head" and a "heart" decision about becoming Catholic.

Some of the topics include:

  • The study of Scripture
  • The Trinity consisting of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
  • Church history
  • The seven Sacraments, especially  Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist
  • The Mass
  • Mary and the saints
  • Prayer
  • Confession
  • And more
