
Fr. Goodluck Ajaero, SMMM.
Parochial Vicar
Fr. Goodluck was born in Obokofia-Egbema, Imo State in Nigeria. He joined the Religious Order of Sons of Mary, Mother of Mercy in August, 2007.
He received his seminary formation from Seat of Wisdom Seminary, Umuahia campus and Seat of Wisdom Seminary, Owerri, both in Nigeria. He was ordained a priest on July 22, 2017.
After his Priestly Ordination, Father Goodluck served as the Assistant Secretary General of his Order from September 1st, 2017 to January 11th, 2018. He was then appointed to serve as the Secretary General from January 11th, 2008 to January 18th, 2022. Within this time, he also served as chaplain to two Mission High Schools and assistant spiritual adviser of the Knights of St. John. He also assisted in Parishes around Aba, Abia State and Owerri, Imo State. Afterwards, he had a sabbatical that lasted till July, 2022 and was in residence at St. Anthony Catholic Church Agbelekale in the Archdiocese of Lagos, Nigeria where he assisted in ministering to the faithful.
He arrived as a missionary in the Diocese of Boise, Idaho in the United States in July, 2022. On arrival, he had his settling in experience in Our Lady of Good Counsel Mountain Home and assisted in other Parishes in the Diocese of Boise. He was officially assigned as a Parochial Vicar in Saint Paul’s Nampa in July, 2023.
He has been on this assignment until his recent appointment as a Parochial Vicar in Holy Apostles, Meridian in June, 2025.
In his free time, Fr. Goodluck enjoys taking walks, riding bicycles, traveling, reading, watching movies and listening to music.
