Jonathan Kahnoski

Youth Ministry Coordinator

Jonathan is the son of a career Air Force officer and his wife, a professional administrative assistant.  A “military brat,” he was born in Texas but grew up all over the country, from Georgia to California, where he graduated college.  He calls no place home.  He loves history and military history; writing, especially feature articles, letters and essays; and reading.  He is an avid subscriber to The Great Courses, studying subjects ranging from mathematics, logic, religion and spiritual matters, history, storytelling, literature and linguistics, and art and music.  He was an avid runner (12 times Hood to Coast, two Portland Marathons) and still exercises daily.  He loves to cook fancy.

Since joining the parish about 10 years ago, Jonathan has volunteered with Returning Catholics and Rosary Makers.  He is a Lector and Extraordinary Minister, helping with the EMs at Sunday 11:00 Mass.  He has served as a substitute teacher at St. Ignatius since 2018, and last year volunteered daily to work the Sentinels.
