Monique Kilroy grew up in Oregon and studied nursing at University of Portland. In a nearly 40-year nursing career, Monique has done it all from Emergency Department to Pediatrics and Family Health! She has been married to a Military Officer for more than 35 years—they lived in Europe for 10 years, and moving to Boise was their 17th move. They have three children and one grandchild. Monique enjoys Health and Wellness research, gardening, cooking, swimming, reading, and spending time with her family.
Monique is our Parish Nursing Director at Holy Apostles. Parish Nursing focuses on the wellness of mind, body and spirit. Monique coordinates various Health and Wellness programs to include: quarterly Anointing Masses, Pastoral Visitors Ministry with monthly Mass at various Senior Care Facilities, Bereavement Program, Advanced Directives completion, Fit and Fall Proof classes thru the Dept. of Health & Welfare, monthly Blood Pressure Screenings with follow ups, and coordination with Hospital and Hospice Chaplains for Sacramental services, and much more.
