I ask for prayers for C and J. The devil is trying to stop them from doing something really important in their lives within their faith. The devil is using their family to try and stop them. Please pray they stay strong and pray that the remaining family can have a conversion of heart.
A prayer for James A. Mackie who passed away on 8/20/23. Lord, Father all-powerful and ever-living God, I thank You, for even though I am a sinner, your unprofitable servant, not because of my worth but in the kindness of your mercy, You have fed me with the Precious Body & Blood of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that this Holy Communion may not bring me condemnation and punishment but forgiveness and salvation. May it be a helmet of faith and a shield of good will. May it purify me from evil ways and put an end to my evil passions. May it bring me charity and patience, humility and obedience, and growth in the power to do good. May it be my strong defense against all my enemies, visible and invisible, and the perfect calming of all my evil impulses, bodily and spiritual. May it unite me more closely to you, the One true God, and lead me safely through death to everlasting happiness with You. And I pray that You will lead me, a sinner, to the banquet where you, with Your Son and holy Spirit, are true and perfect light, total fulfillment, everlasting joy, gladness without end, and perfect happiness to your saints. grant this through Christ our Lord, AMEN.
My Matthew, our youngest son, while going to college, was taught by a liberal professor. At some point, Matt's professor brought in an athiest speaker to address the class about there being no such thing as God. Matt had gone to some of the best schools, one of which was Catholic. He had a Catholic upbringing all of his life. We noticed a change in Matt and so we talked to him with questions. That's when he told us about his professor, moreover, the athiest that had been brought in by his professor to convince the class that there was no God. He said that the guy had a good argument, however, he also said that he found it odd that his professor hadn't brought in a Christian, to hear his take on God. Since that time, Matt has remained agnostic. His father and I have never given up on him. We've prayed incessantly over the past eight years, especially since he joined the Army immediately after graduating college. He's now 28, and our hearts are broken that he's still an agnostic. After being released from the Army recently, he came to visit us. He went to Holy Apostles church with us the Sunday before he left. He made the sign of the cross with holy water from the font, joined in on the responses, the Lords' Prayer, and the same going out of the church after mass. Possibly, he's open right now to hear God's word. However, he lives three states from us. We reminded him to get back into church in his new home and to go to confession and start receiving communion once again. Please help us pray for Matthew, that Jesus may bring him back to the flock. In Jesus' name, amen.

Please pray that God will keep me strong and caring. My husband has cancer and I feel the need to be there for him and I myself am not feeling well. Please pray for the grace and fortitude to accept what God has planned for us. Thank you
Please pray for my family. I’m an adult child of an alcoholic and found Al Anon. My middle son is an alcoholic with narcissistic personality disorder, exacerbated by alcohol abuse. His family will be a mess without gods intervention. He needs God. But thinks he can get the situation under control. The cycle of alcohol abuse, infidelity and lying is out of control. Please pray with me for the whole family.
